Shoreditch · London gaming blog
Games decoded, not just reviewed.
PixelQuestLegends is an independent East London gaming journal covering indie deep-dives, frame-by-frame review breakdowns, retro hardware archaeology and grassroots UK esports — three long-reads every week, no clickbait.
This week on the blog
Our latest issue unpacks the physics engine behind a BAFTA-nominated British indie, plus a buyer's guide to CRT monitors sourced from Brick Lane market stalls.
Founder note
Written by players who never grew out of it.
I started PixelQuestLegends in 2018 from a flat above a coffee roaster on Redchurch Street, tired of reviews that scored a 40-hour RPG after a two-hour demo. We play everything to credits — sometimes twice — and we tell you what a game actually feels like at hour thirty.
Today a team of six writers, two of them former QA testers, cover the indie scene, the retro market and the UK competitive circuit. No sponsored scores, no review embargoes we can't disclose, and every verdict signed by a named human.

What subscribers say.
"The 30-hour verdict on that farming sim saved me £50 — every other site had scored it in an afternoon. This is the only gaming blog I actually trust before buying."
"Went to a Legend tier play-test night above Redchurch Street last month and ended up chatting to the devs. Best £14 I spend each month, hands down."
"Their retro buying desk talked me out of an overpriced Dreamcast and found me a boxed one for half the price. Proper knowledgeable people, no hype."
